2022 Update!

2022 kicked off with one client, KitchenVisions, winning Best Kitchen Designer in the Best of Boston Home magazine issue. Recently KitchenVisions won a coveted Best of Boston Award, also for Best Kitchen Designer. I am thrilled for Jodi and her team at KV!
Continuing their winning ways, KitchenVisions also won two 2022 PRO Awards in June. Kevin Cradock Builders also took home two PRO Awards in June.
Speaking of KCB, their Marblehead project, The Mooring, is featured in the recent issue of New England Home: Head for the Hill. Much more exciting news coming soon from KCB.
More client news: I’ve been working with Dane Austin on his website, Journal, and pr project pitches. Dane has had an outstanding year, named as one of House Beautiful’s Next Wave Designers in 2022! And a Top 100 Designer for Home & Design, a publication in the Greater DC area. A Dane Austin Design project in Weston is in the newest issue of Modern Luxury Boston Interiors: Art Haus. Dane’s outstanding kitchen will appear in the Fall issue of Boston Home magazine. His kitchen has also made it through the next round of Thermador’s Kitchen Competition! Another one of Dane’s projects, Oyster Harbors Estate, will be published by Cape Cod Home. It is also in the running for HGTV’s Designer of the Year Waterside!
Savvy Words began working with Jacob Lilley Architects at the beginning of 2022. One of Jake’s projects was recently featured in Ocean Home Magazine: Simple and Serene. An upcoming collaboration, The Sumner Mansion, with Kevin Cradock Builders will be featured in the September/October issue of New England Home.
Mellowes & Paladino Architects’ Nantucket compound is featured in the 2022 edition of New England Living Magazine: Family First. Their Concord project will be featured in the 2023 edition of Boston Design Guide.
Additional client work for the first half of 2022 has included submitting Bulfinch Awards for Mellowes & Paladino Architects and Jacob Lilley Architects. Current award submission work is ongoing for the IFDA NEC Gala Awards and the 2022 PRISM Awards. Looking forward to some great announcements soon!
Pitches for Diane Burcz Interior Design have been on-going. Diane’s fabulous Milton kitchen project will be in the September/October issue of New England Home as well.
Pitches are continuing for Kristin Paton Interiors. One of KPI’s Cambridge projects will be featured in New England Home in 2023. More exciting news will be coming soon.
For Helios Design Group, in 2022 we publicized founding partner Carol Marsh’s retirement, and the opening of HDG’s Denver office. Pitches are going out for several HDG projects as well. Recently Elena Reinhardt participated as a guest blogger for Designer Bath. We added new projects to their website portfolio, including this charming outer Cape guest house, with construction by Kevin Cradock Builders.
In addition to the marketing & PR efforts on behalf of all of these wonderful Savvy Words clients, I joined the IFDA NEC board in 2022 as secretary. I’m also serving on the committee for the upcoming Diamond Gala event on September 29th at the Park Plaza Hotel. I’ve been working with good friend and colleague Melissa Bunis, owner of Boston Stone Restoration, on the Gala program. I’ve also been helping with some PR for the Wellesley ABC bathroom renovation community service project. It has been a real pleasure collaborating with IFDA NEC President Larissa Cook, and board members, especially Michelle Southworth,owner of MWI Fibershield.
I expect the next four months to be filled with wonderful accomplishments for Savvy Words clients and I am grateful for the faith they place in me. As Kevin Cradock always says, “Now back to work!”
